While you are in school registered in a minimum of 9 eligible credits, you are not required to make any payments and your loan is interest-free. After your Period of Study end date, your loan status is in a non-repayment period for six months. You do not have to make payments while your loan is in the six-month non-repayment period.
If you have a previous part-time government student loan and you are returning to either part-time or full-time study, you do not need to begin repayment; however, you must inform your lender that you are returning to study.
You have six months from your study period end date before you must start paying back your loan.
